PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent formation of an abnormal curl in a slack part of a paper sheet due to a working stop of a device also in the case wherein a flap to be opened at the time of reverse feeding of the paper sheet for swelling the paper slack part out of a conveyance route is provided. SOLUTION: A printing device has a transfer mechanism 10 for drawing out the paper sheet from a rolled sheet and transferring the paper sheet, a printing part 25 for carrying out printing to a predetermined range from a leading end of the paper sheet, a cutter 30 arranged at the downstream side of the printing part, and a control means 50 for controlling them. The printing device which carries out control for retreating the paper leading end after cut to the printing part after the paper sheet is cut and issued as a ticket is equipped with an opening part 11b set at a part of a guide plate which constitutes the conveyance route, the flap 17 supported rotatably to close the opening part when present at an inside position and to slack and retreat a part of the paper sheet from the opening part to the outside of the conveyance route when opened outward, a solenoid 19 for closing the flap at the inside position when turned on, and an elastic member 18 for opening the flap when the solenoid is off.
