Provided is a tread rubber composition for a racing tire having a wet traction at lower temperature and having improved abrasion performance due to an increase of maintenance in physical properties post aging. The tread rubber composition for a racing tire comprises carbon black having an iodine adsorption number of from 170 to 190 g/kg and a surface activity of from -4 to -10, in addition to a styrene-butadiene rubber as a raw rubber material and conventional additives. In particular, the composition comprises 45-55 phr of carbon black with respect to the raw rubber material consisting of 80-100 phr of a solution polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber having 40-50% of a bound styrene, and 120-140 phr of a styrene-butadiene rubber formed of a carbon black masterbatch.
