<p>To control the tension of a yarn (F) at a bobbin winder, where it is drawn from a cop (2) by a take-off (5) to be passed to a reciprocating yarn guide (12), a control value is derived for the yarn feed speed. The yarn tension is measured by a sensor (6) according to its position, and tension deviations are taken into account for the control value. There is a continuous synchronizing between the position of the yarn guide and the yarn feed control (18), giving a yarn tension profile. The yarn tension profile is derived from the distance from an edge of the winding bobbin (10) and a percentage reduction in the nominal tension value.</p> |
