A liquid crystal display device and a method of driving the same are provided to disperse influences due to voltages charged to parasitic capacitors formed between gate lines and data lines by dividing a liquid crystal display panel into at least two or more blocks and driving the divided blocks at different periods. A liquid crystal display panel(30) is driven by divided blocks of i number where i is a natural number more than 2. Integrated circuit groups of i number are operated to drive data lines included in the divided blocks of i number. The integrated circuit groups of i number supply pixel data to the data lines at different periods. The data lines included in the blocks of i number receive the pixel data by one horizontal period.
