An extinguisher (17) inductively extinguishes an arc generated between the movable and fixed contacts (5,4), during passing current to cabinet (1) through movable arc contactor (6) and fixed arc contactor (22a) in block (22). The vents (1d) are provided in cabinet opposing the arc gas discharge window (1c) to form an air passage. When pressure in cabinet rises, the vents are closed by valve (21).
