<p>An applier (10) for a surgical procedure to tissue, said applier comprising: a. a tube (14) having a distal end, a proximal end and a longitudinal axis therebetween; b. a pusher rod (28) having distal and proximal ends, said pusher rod having a cap (22) attached to its distal end and a restraint element (34) disposed thereon proximal to said cap, said pusher rod is disposed within said tube such that said proximal end of said pusher rod is proximal to said proximal end of said tube, and said cap is distal to and spring (40) biased against said distal end of said tube and wherein said restraint element is disposed within said tube; c. an expandable medical device (12) disposed within said distal end of said tube between said restraint element and said cap. <IMAGE></p> |
