A system and a method for providing multimedia contents are provided to efficiently transmit the multimedia contents at network bandwidth between a limited server and a client, and transmit the multimedia contents in real time while the contents does not remain in the client. A client information managing module(102) stores and manages client information in a database(144). A client number checking module(104) checks numbers of the first client which receives multimedia contents from a system(100). A contents transmitting module(106) transmits required multimedia contents to the second client by a streaming way. A client information sending module(108) sends the client information to the second client. A managing module(110) controls to install modules of clients. A contents database(146) stores and manages a plurality of multimedia contents. A client information database(144) stores and manages contents information which is received from the client or the system(100). The system(100) also includes hardware(140) and software(142).
