<p>A flat panel display is provided to use a sealing film for a sealing substrate, and to perform a sealing process through a thermal compression process without using a sealant, thereby realizing impact resistance and lightness while resolving harmful gas problems caused while the sealant is hardened. An organic EL element(210) is formed on an insulating substrate(200). The formed organic EL element(210) consists of the first electrode, an organic EL layer, and the second electrode. After the organic EL element(210) is formed, the formed organic EL element(210) is sealed by using a sealing film(220). The sealing film(220) maintains a certain interval with the organic EL element(210). The sealing film(220) can be thermally compressed. The sealing film(220) is thin and transparent, and is made of material which is lighter than a glass substrate.</p> |
