<p>The terminal (10) is linked (11) to an electronic card equipped with a microprocessor (12) in which an application-related program is implemented. It has a central interpreter (15) in communication with peripherals such as a file (16), keyboard (17), modem (18), dual-tone multifrequency transmitter (19), display (21) and card reader (22). The card executes application processing and interacts with the terminal for making input/outputs available. The terminal takes on the role of a slave at the application level, with the card acting as mater while the application is in progress.</p> |
