The transfer device (8) for container treatment machines such as fillers, rinsers or sealers consists of a rigid transfer arm (10). Means are provided on the transfer device which enable and/or execute a controlled pivoting motion of the transfer arm. The transfer arm is adjustable to different diameters of the mouth piece or neck ring of the container (6). Means are also provided on the transfer device which enables an adjustment of the size and/or position of the pivoting movement of the transfer arm.
