VIDEO IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD TO ELIMINATE WIDE AREA FLICKER OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

A video image processing method for eliminating a wide area flicker of a plasma display panel is provided to remove effectively the wide area flicker when receiving video signals of 50Hz such as PAL(Phase Alternation Line) or SECAM(Systeme Electronique Couleur Avec Memorre). N-1th frame data are stored in a frame memory(S701). Each of main object image data of the stored N-1th data and presently inputted Nth frame data is separated from each of background data thereof(S702,S703). Object image data of an insertion frame are generated by using the main object image data of the N-1th frame data and the main object image data of the Nth frame data(S705,S706). Background image data of the insertion frame are generated by using the background image data of the N-1th frame data and the background image data of the Nth frame data(S707). The insertion frame is generated by synthesizing the main object image data of the insertion data with the background image data of the insertion frame(S708).
