COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING 6-AMYL-alpha-PYRONE AS ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

A cosmetic composition comprising 6-amyl-alpha-pyrone as an active ingredient is provided, which composition has improved inhibitory effect on tyrosinase activity to improve skin whitening effect, no skin stimulation, and has antifungal and antibacterial effects to prevent acne. The cosmetic composition for inhibiting activity of tyrosinase comprises 0.001 to 15.0 wt.% of 6-amyl-alpha-pyrone as an active ingredient, wherein the cosmetic composition is useful for skin whitening and acne prevention; and the cosmetic composition has a formulation selected from solution, suspension, emulsion, paste, gel, cream, lotion, powder, soap, surfactant-containing cleansing, oil, powder foundation, emulsion foundation, wax foundation and spray.
