An organic EL(Electro Luminescence) bar and a fabrication method thereof are provided to realize a bar-shaped light source with the organic EL bar, and to fabricate the organic EL bar through a deposition method, thereby suppressing power consumption at lower level while easily realizing the bar-shaped light source. An organic EL bar(10) comprises an anode(11) being in bar shape on a center. An organic layer(12) is formed on a surface of the anode(11) by covering the surface. The organic layer(12) consists of a hole transport layer(12a), a luminous layer(12b), and an electron transport layer(12c). A transparent cathode(13) for transmitting a light is formed on a surface of the organic layer(12) by covering the surface. The anode(11) and the transparent cathode(13) are connected to a power voltage(CV). A light emitted from the organic layer(12) is emitted outside through the transparent cathode(13).
