METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING A TUNNEL

A tunnel construction method is provided to reduce construction cost and a construction period, and to restrict traffic jam by constructing a tunnel without digging a pit and by making plural approach parts. A tunnel is constructed by forming an approach part(6) connected to the tunnel on the ground, and an oscillation part is constructed to oscillate a shield excavator(1). A roof of the shield excavator is opened or closed, and the shield excavator is inclined from the oscillation part. A rectangular segment(4) is opened in an upper part, and installed through an opening part of the shield excavator to form an approach part. A lower part of the approach part is extended and constructed by closing the opening part, and an upper part of the approach part is formed by moving the shield excavator on the segment while opening the roof of the shield excavator. The approach part is formed by closing the opening part.
