Provided is a process for forming desirable pattern on surface of a metallic product including metallic artifact and/or industrial product, especially forming micro-fine and detailed patterns with various designs and colors, and enhanced durability by a simple and convenient process. The process comprises steps of etching surface of a metal plate to form grooves(10) with desirable patterns; filling paste(20) into the grooves; and fusing and adhering the paste to the metal plate. The formation of grooves(10) is obtained by means of photo-etching. The fusion and adhesion step is conducted by entering the metal plate filled with the paste(20) into a vacuum furnace then heating the metal plate to a constant fusion temperature of the paste to the grooves(10). The paste(20) primarily contains metal components having lower melting point than that of the metal plate and additional pigment. The metal plate is selected from copper plate, stainless plate or steel plate.
