An ink cartridge and an inkjet printer are provided to show an amount of ink in the ink cartridge by using a shaking member. An ink cartridge includes an ink tank(11), a shaking member(32), a first direction rotation force, and a second direction rotation force(205). The ink tank(11) stores ink. The shaking member(32) has a balance member(33) when the ink is stored in the ink tank(11) in such a manner that the shaking member(32) is positioned at ink. When a portion of the balance member(32) is exposed from the surface of the ink, the balance member is set in such a manner that the second direction rotation force is opposite to the first direction rotation force. A restriction member is installed in the ink tank in order to restrict the rotation toward the first direction.
