BACK LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY HAVING THE SAME

A backlight assembly and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to improve display quality by preventing thermal deformation of an optical sheet and to improve assembling workability by reducing the number of components. A light generation unit includes at least one lamp(310) for emitting light. An optical member(320), located at an upper part of the light generation unit, includes a base substrate having a diffusion function, a diffusion layer formed on the lower surface of the base substrate and a condensing layer formed on the upper surface of the base substrate. An accept container accepts the light generation unit and the optical member.
