A hinge device for a portable terminal is provided to considerably reduce an impact force generated when a folder is closed or perfectly opened and prevent that the folder or a body is damaged by providing only an elastic force of the first elastic member when the folder is closed or perfectly opened. The first body(30) is fixed in a body. The second body(32) is fixed in a folder, and is rotatably connected to the first body(30) and a hinge shaft(42). The first contact member(34) is fixed at one side of the first body(30). The second contact member(36) is fixed at one side of the second body(32), and is frictionized with the first contact member(34). The first elastic member(38) disposed in an internal side of the first body(30) provides an elastic force in which the first contact member(34) closely adheres to the second contact member(36). The second elastic member(40) provides an elastic force to the first contact member(34) in only a state in which the folder is opened at a uniform angle.
