Single layered, oriented, with electromagnetic radiation patternable foil made of thermoplastic polyester for the production of selectively metallized foils

The polyester film having at least monoaxially oriented single layer, comprises a metal compound, which liberates a metal in elemental form, by irradiation with electromagnetic radiation, within a polymer. The polyester film has thickness of 5-500 mu m. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) production of the polyester film; and (2) printed circuit board, ribbon cable, smart cards, RFID labels, membrane keyboards and film-based circuits comprising the film.
