A vacuum suction chamber(2) for controlling pipe diameter is followed by a calibration chamber(3). Selected calibrating sleeves(20) can be inserted into the calibration chamber to surround the extruded pipe(10) when the extrusion line is operating at slow speed. An independent claim is included for the process plant which has a movable calibrating chamber(3) and vacuum calibration bath(4) to allow access for inserting or removal of calibration sleeves(2). |
