An indoor unit of an air-conditioner is provided to easily repair and maintain an indoor unit by opening and shutting a front panel and by easily changing a color of the front panel. A rear cabinet(60) is arranged at an upper part of a rear part of a base(50). A front cabinet(70) is arranged at an upper part of a front part of the base, is placed in front of the rear and has air suction ports(70b) and air discharge ports(72a,72c) except a front part. The front cabinet forms a ventilation passage with the rear cabinet. A front panel(80) opens and shuts the front of the front cabinet. An opening and shutting element connects the front panel with the front cabinet rotatively.
