A high frequency heating cooker is provided to evenly heat food on a food loading tray by evenly distributing temperature of the food loading tray and restricting unbalanced cooking. A high frequency heating cooker is composed of a heating chamber(7) containing food, a magnetron(9) heating food with microwave by supplying microwave to the heating chamber, a food loading tray(14) stored in the heating chamber and composed of a heating member(18) heating by absorbing microwave, and a control unit controlling operation of the magnetron. The control unit performs preheating and cooking in roasting food on the food loading tray. The control unit drives the magnetron by increasing output of the magnetron during the first half of preheating, and operates the magnetron by decreasing output of the magnetron during the second half of preheating. Food on the food loading tray is roasted evenly by using the heating member.
