A cyclone dust collector for a vacuum cleaner is provided to improve collector efficiency by improving the structure to raise the turning speed of suction air turning in a cyclone chamber. A cyclone dust collector(300) for a vacuum cleaner is installed to a suction passage connecting a suction port sucking air from the outside and a vacuum source generating suction force to the suction port to separate dirt from air sucked through the suction port. The cyclone dust collector for the vacuum cleaner comprises a first chamber connected to the suction port in a state of circulating air; a second chamber(380) connected to the first chamber and to the vacuum source in a state of circulating air, to centrifugally separate air flowing in from the first chamber; and a partition installed between the first chamber and the second chamber. The partition has at least one through hole(351,335) connecting the first and second chambers, and at least one guide member(337) installed near the through hole. The through hole and the guide member make the air flowing to the second chamber from the first chamber dispersed.
