<p>A method of managing voice messages using a mobile telephone. A graphical user interface (GUI) is opened on the mobile telephone, which individually lists remotely stored voice messages for the user of the mobile telephone. The user is able to select a voice message from the list to initiate playback on the mobile telephone. The GUI may list the number of messages stored in an inbox, whether the messages are new, and the name or telephone number of the person leaving a message. The GUI may also include an inbox view with folders for storage / retrieval of voice messages. Hence, rather than having to listen to various options spoken by a synthetic voice, such as "press 1 to reply", "press 2 to delete", etc., a GUI is provided for simple message selection and playback.</p> |
