CELLULOSE ACYLATE FILM, OPTICAL COMPENSATION FILM, POLARIZING FILM AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

A cellulose acylate film, an optical compensation film, a polarizing film and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) are provided to manufacture the cellulose acylate film that has small optical anisotropy and small wavelength dispersion and improve characteristics of a viewing angle by using the cellulose acylate film. An Re(lambda) defined by the following equation(I) and an Rth(lambda) defined by the following equation(II) satisfy the following equations(III,IV): (I) Re(lambda) = (nx-ny) xd, (II) Rth(lambda) = {(nx+ny)/2-nz}xd, (III) 0<=Re(630)<=10 and (Rth(630))<=25, (IV)(Re(400)-Re(700))<=10 and (Rth(400)-Rth(700))<=35, where Re(lambda) is a retardation value of the front at wavelength lambdanm, Rth(lambda) is a retardation value of a film thickness direction at the wavelength lambdanm, nx is a refractive index of an X-axis direction in a film surface, ny is a refractive index of a Y-axis direction in the film surface, nz is a refractive index of the film thickness direction and d is thickness of a film.
