The fabrication of preservatives for fresh animal and vegetable foodstuffs consists of incorporation of activated carbon in natural silicates dough serving as a support for high oxidation capacity permanganate salt. Also claimed is a process retarding degradation of the foodstuffs. The process eliminates ethylene and organic impurities, and reduces air pollution, by filtering the surrounding air to provide air conditioning.
