The retarder has a stator support and an integrated coupling flange of a gearbox. The stator support is integrated to a wheel of a vehicle on a cover (140) of a movement transmission device fixed to a stator. The cover forms a single part with the support at its outer periphery. The flange is integrated to a shaft of the transmission device on a coupling flange (50) of the gearbox.
