PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive control unit, an adaptive control method and an adaptive control program for suppressing and controlling the computational complexity, even when the time development of a target system is complicated. SOLUTION: A computer 100 operating as an adaptive control unit decides controlled variables for the status of a target physical system, when the time development of the physical system is described as a Markov process. The computer 100 is provided with a communication interface 128 for acquiring the status quantity of the physical system, and a CPU 120 adaptively generates a control signal for controlling the status quantity as a target value by a probabilistic sequential emphasis sampling method.
