PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which provides excellent work environment which prevents screws from being left behind somewhere when removing or mounting a control unit to or from a device body by loosening the screws and makes separate preparation of the screws at every work of mounting and dismounting the control unit unnecessary. SOLUTION: The control unit 1 of an image forming apparatus 1 is freely attachably and detachably provided to and from the device body 11. The control unit 14 is mounted by means of screws 16 on the device body 11, and the screws 16 are provided with locking members 19 for preventing the screws from being disengaged from the control unit when the screws are loosened.
