PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability in manufacture of a silver halide color photosensitive material containing a silver halide emulsion based on silver chloroiodide and a specified yellow coupler, particularly lowering of density after color development due to stagnation of a coating liquid, and to provide a silver halide color photosensitive material capable of obtaining an image with excellent color reproduction even by high illuminance exposure. SOLUTION: In the silver halide color photosensitive material having on a reflective support at least one yellow developing photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one magenta developing photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one cyan developing photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer, the yellow developing photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer contains a silver halide emulsion comprising≥98 mol% of silver chloride and 0.01-2 mol% silver iodide and a dye forming coupler represented by formula (a-1) or formula (a-2).
