PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for organic electroluminescence elements that has high membrane stability and a long luminescence life, and an organic electroluminescence element using the material. SOLUTION: The material for the electroluminescence elements is constituted by containing a compound(A) containing a condensed heteroaromatic ring formed by condensing benzene ring and a nitrogen-containing pentacyclic ring, and an arylene group; and a phosphorescent material(B); and the compound(A) has two or more condensed heteroarmatic rings, and in the compound(A), the all nitrogen atoms of the condensed heteroarmatic rings and the arylene groups are directly bonded to each other, and the nitrogen-containing pentacyclic ring has a subtituent or contains mutually adjacent two or more nitrogen atoms.
