PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of fastening a bowknot for preventing the bowknot of a shoelace from easily being loosened and untied, and a safety pin used in the method, and a new method of tying the shoelace to be hardly loosened and untied, and a ring member used in the method. SOLUTION: The method of fastening the shoelace and the safety pins used in the method are provided as follows. After making a normal bowknot, the safety pins are inserted at two positions in the shoelace, which is bow-knotted so that the shoelace located in front of the knot is not inserted into the knot and that the ends are not drawn out, to prevent the shoelace from being loosened, then untied. In addition, the method of tying the shoelaces and the ring members used in the method are also provided as follows. Left and right shoelaces extending from left and right holes of the shoe are inserted into separately prepared ring members and pulled in the opposite directions to make a single knot.
