<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water-based ink in a coloring particle-dispersed type, providing a printed product having high image fastness such as water resistance, light resistance and gas resistance, and especially having excellent dispersion stability. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink contains water-insoluble coloring particles, a block copolymer having a polyvinyl ether structure containing a hydrophilic segment and a hydrophobic segment, and water. The coloring particle is covered with the block copolymer, and the weight of the hydrophobic segment contained in the block copolymer is ≥4 mg per m<SP>2</SP>surface area of the covered coloring particle.
