PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem that rearrangement is not correctly performed only when the forward/backward order of image data is simply exchanged in the case of exchanging the order with respect to color image data with YC. SOLUTION: An image processor includes line memories 17, 18, so as to exchange the leftward/rightward order of the image data in a horizontal direction by reading the image data in the opposite order of the order in writing the data, when image data is read from one of the two line memories 17, 18 while image data is written in the other. When the image data is read, conversion is performed to the two low-order bits of a down counter value dn_cnt by the recombination of the values by a word converting citcuit with four words as a unit to obtain a down counter value dn_cnt2. The down counter value dn_cnt2 after recombination is used as a reading address value, so that data recombination in four words is simultaneously performed when recombining the image data with the four words as a unit.
