PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording position adjusting method capable of performing dot adjusting value acquisition processing by a method capable of dealing with a variety of user needs of recent years, and to provide a recording system capable of realizing that adjusting method. SOLUTION: A plurality of kinds of dot adjusting value acquisition processing capable of acquiring an adjusting value for aligning the recording position are prepared so that a user can select an arbitrary one of the plurality of kinds of dot adjusting value acquisition processing.
