PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving system of a trommel for solving the problem of unstability of rotation and noise and vibration in the trommel of a system driven by a gear, and the trommel driven by the driving system. SOLUTION: In the subject method for driving the trommel by the rotation body made of a soft material, a ring-like receiving part is fitted/fixed to a part of an outer surface of the trommel, the rotation body having a surface made of the soft material is press-contacted to the surface of the receiving part and the trommel is rotated by rotating the rotation body.
