PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage drier capable of evenly drying garbage in a short period of time by reduced power consumption (electricity charges). SOLUTION: This garbage drier is provided with: a feeding part 4 in which the garbage 3 is fed; a forcibly sending means 7 composed of a plurality of almost cylindrical rollers 6 which are arranged in parallel and rotated; a heating means 8 for heating the surface of each of the almost cylindrical rollers 6; a temperature detecting means 9 arranged near the almost cylindrical rollers 6; and a controlling means 10 for actuating the forcibly sending means 7 after the temperature detecting means 9 detects that the surface temperature of each of the almost cylindrical rollers 6 becomes the first predetermined temperature T1. As a result, the forcibly sending means 7 is started after the surface of each of the almost cylindrical rollers 6 is sufficiently heated. Since the fed garbage 3 is conveyed while being heated successively by the sufficiently heated surface of each of the almost cylindrical rollers 6, uneven drying is hardly caused.
