PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment method which efficiently adsorbs and removes cyanide compounds from cyanide compound-containing liquid to be treated by using activated carbon. SOLUTION: The cyanide compound-containing wastewater treatment method comprises a reaction method where metal ions reacting with the cyanide compound and generating precipitates are added to the cyanide compound-containing liquid to be treated, a metal cyanide compound separation and removal process where the precipitates generated by the reaction process are separated from the treated liquid, and a cyanide compound adsorption and removal process where the treated liquid is brought into contact with the activated carbon to adsorb and remove the cyanide compound.
