A method of manufacturing a pencil is described, wherein, with a view to providing a better grip, and preventing the discomfort of an excessively uneven surface, a finished pencil is subjected to a step of mechanically shaping grooves, these grooves being produced at the side wall of the pencil without removing material. A pencil (1) is also described, on the surface of which elliptical grooves are provided which extend in the transverse direction of the pencil. |
