Socks comprising a backing layer of polyolefin yarn, a surface layer of spun yarn or cotton yarn, a toe portion of silver yarn and a sole portion of the foot which is printed with phase change materials are provided. They have moisture absorption, quick-drying, temperature controlling and anti-microbial functions and excellent durability and are useful as sports socks or medical socks for preventing athlete's foot. The multi-functional socks comprise: a backing layer(1) consisting of polyolefin or polyethylene yarns having a very low moisture regain(0.05%) potential; a surface layer(2) consisting of polyester or nylon spun yarn having a modified cross-section structure, or cotton yarn; a toe portion(4) consisting of silver yarn; and a sole portion of the foot which is printed with powders containing phase change materials in a dot shape. |
