<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a substantially pure carbon by means of a pure carbon extraction method from a sub-product, an unnecessary material, a valueless material and industrial waste which are produced with an industrial activity and commercial and engineering activities such as oil refining, transport machine manufacture, industrial machine manufacture, petroleum transport, ordinary transport and transport machine maintenance with regard to the pure carbon extraction from sulfate pitch. <P>SOLUTION: Acid clay, fly ash and an iron oxide are mixed into the sulfate pitch with a specified proportion. The resulting mixture is neutralized by mixing quick lime and slaked lime thereinto, and is subjected to calcining and separaration, thereby extracting the substantially pure carbon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
