<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crosslinked sulfonated polyimide suitable for a polymer electrolyte membrane for fuel cells, a gas sensor, an ion exchange resin, etc., having excellent ion-exchange capacity and proton conductivity and improved dimensional change in water-absorbed state, water resistance, methanol permeability, etc., compared with conventional sulfonated polyimide. <P>SOLUTION: The crosslinked sulfonated polyimide is produced by crosslinking an acid-terminated sulfonated polyimide composed of a repeating unit expressed by chemical formula (1) and having aromatic tetracarboxylic acid component residues on both terminals with an aromatic amine compound having ≥3 functional groups. In chemical formula (1), Ar<SP>1</SP>and Ar<SP>4</SP>are each a tetravalent group having an aromatic ring; Ar<SP>2</SP>is a bivalent group having an aromatic ring having one or more sulfonic acid groups or sulfonic acid group derivatives as substituents; Ar<SP>5</SP>is a bivalent group having an aromatic group free from sulfonic acid group or sulfonic acid group derivative as substituent; (l) is an integer of ≥1; and (m) is 0 or an integer of ≥1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
