<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inkjet recording paper sheet by an after-batching system application method with such advantages that the sufficient hardening of a coloring matter acceptance layer can be achieved; a hardening application liquid containing a reduced concentration of a crosslinking agent component or basic component required for hardening compared with a conventional concentration level can be used; a manufacturing cost can be cut; and a drying load can be reduced, and an apparatus for manufacturing the inkjet recording paper sheet. <P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing method comprises the processes in the following order: first, the coloring matter acceptance layer application liquid is applied to a continuously running support 14; the coloring matter acceptance layer is dried to a half-dry state; the hardening application liquid containing the crosslinking agent component is applied in excess to the surface of the coloring matter acceptance layer; and an applied liquid surplus is scraped off so as to reach a desired liquid application level. In this case of manufacturing the inkjet recording paper sheet, time to be spent from the application to the scraping process is controlled to the range of 1 to 10 s by an application time control means 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
