METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING DECORATIVE PAPER AND THE USE THEREOF

The invention relates to a method for producing a decorative pigment coated paper. For this purpose, a white pigment-, in particular titanium dioxide-containing aqueous colour coating which is optionally filled with pigments is deposited on a coating base paper by means of a curtain-coating contactless process. The substance of the coating base paper ranges from 28 to 65 g/m<2>. The solid content in the applied aqueous colour coating ranges from 30 to 75 weight percent. After application, the aqueous colour coating is normally dried. The advantageous use of a product produced by the inventive method for decorating coating materials is also disclosed. Said method is economically used for producing an advantageous product.
