The stick (1) can be a stick used in Nordic walking and to be fitted with different lower segments (3) in relation to the surface the user is planning to walk across. The new design of a stick (1) is fitted with a holding unit (2) in the upper area (4) for joining the segment (3) not in use at present. The unit (2) can be designed as an elastic metal clip (7) attached with a ring (5) to the stick (1), a pair of elastic bands or a ring with a projection engaging with a recess located at the segment (3).
