The assembly has a unitary pedal body sleeved rotatably on a pedal shaft and including two front retaining portions. Two retaining units are connected to the body. A unitary cleat is connected fixedly to a shoe of a rider and has a front end engaging portion inserted into one front retaining portion. A rear end engaging portion is confined between the body and a corresponding one of the rear retaining units. The pedal body has two T-shaped integral projections each formed with a respective cleat-supporting surface and respective one of inner and outer cleat-guiding surfaces.
