<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for determining that focusing and exposure control should be made to any of faces, when the faces of a plurality of persons are detected in preliminary imaging. <P>SOLUTION: The device for determining an object includes: a detection means for detecting the face of the person from an inputted image; and a decision means for deciding a face that becomes a target to be focused, when imaging is performed and/or a face that becomes the target to be subjected to exposure control according to the faces of the plurality of persons, on the basis of the position of the faces of the plurality of persons, when the faces of the plurality of persons are detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
