PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 90°hybrid circuit of simple arrangement capable of switching a power distributing function or a power combining function between operation and nonoperation. SOLUTION: Under such a condition as four terminal pairs each consisting of a first I/O terminal 1, a second I/O terminal 2, a third I/O terminal 3 and a fourth I/O terminal 4 are matched entirely, a high frequency signal inputted from the first I/O terminal 1 is outputted, while being divided equally, to the second I/O terminal 2 and the third I/O terminal 3 with a phase difference of 90°but not outputted to the fourth I/O terminal 4. In such a 90°hybrid circuit where the first I/O terminal 1 and the fourth I/O terminal 4 are divided mutually, electromagnetic connection or coupling traversing a first symmetry plane 5 is short-circuited or open-circuited on the first symmetry plane 5 by a circuit element depending on external control.
