PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transporting apparatus for stably transporting a large volume of powder while switching a plurality of feed-pipes, and to provide a transporting method therefor. SOLUTION: The apparatus 10 for transporting the powder has an ejector part 17 provided with an inner tube 16 therein having a plurality of the feed-pipes 12 to 15 capable of transporting the powder arranged therein, and continuously and rapidly transports the powder supplied to the inner tube 16 to a downstream side while sequentially switching the feed-pipes 12 to 15. The inner tube 16 has a partition member 38 installed therein for separating at least the inflow entrances 34 and 36 from the inflow entrances 35 and 37, which feed the powder to the inner tube 16 in an overlapping period, among the inflow entrances 34 to 37 of each feed-pipe 12 to 15. The transporting method therefor includes feeding the powder to the inner tube 16 through the feed-pipes 12 to 15 having the inflow entrances 34 to 37 arranged in each division 39 and 40 formed by the partition member 38 installed in the inner tube 16, so that the powder-feeding period in the division 39 may not overlap with that in the division 40.
