PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly feed small pieces at a fixed rate without applying a load on an apparatus even if the pieces have high adhesiveness, compressibility, and strength. SOLUTION: In this small piece feeder, a movable spout 6 allowed to communicate with a discharge port 3 is vertically movably formed in a cylinder 4 installed on the lower part of the discharge port 3 in a hopper 2. A feed panel 8 is installed on the lower part of the movable spout 6 rotatably by the bottom part of the cylinder 4. A drum 9 with a specified height having, on its upper surface, a receiving surface 10 of approximately the same diameter as that of the movable spout 6 is installed on the upper surface of the feed panel 8. A scraper 13 of approximately the same height as that of the drum 9 is installed on the side part of the drum 9 so that its tip part comes into contact with the side surface of the drum 9. An outlet chute 14 is installed at the bottom face of the cylinder 4 on the lower part of the scraper. The pieces S are made to fall little by little onto the feed panel 8 through a clearance between the movable spout 6 and the drum 9 to reduce the adhesiveness between the pieces S so that the pieces can be smoothly discharged.
